“We are Patients just like you...”
Your PPG is a group of active volunteer Patients who meet face to face with practice staff at mutually agreed intervals. Your PPG works with the Practice in a partnership built on mutual trust and respect to:
The current Ringmead PPG was formed in January 2013 and meets regularly.
This report summarises the development and outcomes of our Patient Reference Group in 2016 / 2016.

Do you want to have your say when the Practice is making decisions?
Ringmead, in common with other surgeries nationwide, is being encouraged to communicate more effectively with its patients.
Together with the Patient Particpation Group (PPG), we are encouraging patients to give their views about how the practice is doing and the services provided. As a member of our Reference group we will contact you to find out what changes you would most like to see at this Practice. We will ask questions from time to time, such as what you think about our opening times, getting an appointment, reception issues or the quality of the care or service you received. You can also get involved with a debate online.
We will contact you via email and keep our surveys short so it shouldn't take too much of your time. You decide how often and when you would like to respond.
This is your opportunity to have a say in the changes and decisions taken within the Practice about the services we offer.
We welcome all patients to our virtual patient group, which primarily involves email and internet communication. If you would like to join this group but do not have email, you can be contacted by letter and/or telephone.
Joining the group will help us to ensure that the PRG is as representative as possible of our practice population as a whole. The information you supply will be used lawfully, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
It is important to note however that the Patient Participation Group is interested in improving services for the benefit of patients overall and will not consider individual complaints or issues which should be taken up with the Surgery in the normal manner.
Registered members please log in below, non-members please register now to be a member of our patient reference group and begin helping us to improve your healthcare at the Surgery.
All registered members now have access to the Patient Group discussions, surveys and analysis.
If you have not registered to be a member of our Patient Group then we would welcome you to sign up now.
Our Patient Participation Group differs from the Patient Reference Group in that we are an active group and hold meetings to organise future improvements for the patient at Ringmead Medical Practice.
Ringmead Medical Practice's Patient Participation Group have written their first newsletter.
PPG action feedback is included within the PPG Minutes.
2018
The PPG is working in Partnership with the GPs at our Practice to deliver a number of special Health Events throughout 2017 and would appreciate you taking a few minutes to register your interest in attending some/all of the Events being planned.
Organising such events involves a large amount of planning to ensure the required medical resource is available, that content meets with Patient expectation and that interest doesn’t result in under/over subscription. The venue for Events will depend upon the number of Patients registering interest. If volume exceeds the capacity allowed at our surgeries in Birch Hill and Great Hollands, then an alternative venue close-by will be sourced.
Our GPs are very keen to ensure that any Health Event provides Patients with information that they will find practical and informative to ensure Patients leave any Health Event feeling it has been beneficial and enjoyable.
With this in mind; rather than have the ‘Speaker/Host’ trying to gauge the level of information a Patient requires; we would like to ask that as well as registering for the Health Event/s you would be interested in attending; you also supply a little information about what you would particularly like to see included.
In no particular order; the following provides details of the types of Health Events being planned:
To enable further information to be provided we would ask that you complete the participation form as soon as possible, either; online below or by downloading the participation form and placing it in the ‘PPG Suggestion Box’ located in the waiting room at both Practices.
