How Your Support Can Help Us To Do More

Monday, 23 November 2020

Dear patients and their families,

In times like these, a feeling of togetherness and trust is important as we maintain our levels of support and care for our patients. In order for us to do the best for the communities we serve, we need to be able to function in an environment which allows us to be the best of ourselves.

Over the past few months, COVID-19 has caused the entire world to shift on its axis which in turn has caused stress and anxiety for all of us. Our habits and expectations might look dramatically different to how we would have imagined when we entered a new decade in January. As we pause and reflect on the crisis, the well-being of our staff takes on a whole new meaning.

Whilst the health and safety of our patients will always be one of our top priorities, we have to also think about the well-being of our employees if we want to maintain the same level of service. The impact of the pandemic on our staff cannot be ignored; long working hours often without adequate breaks, stress balancing home life and uncertain future has been difficult.

This is why we call on your support now more than ever before to help work with us to manage expectations under pressure. We understand that it can be problematic trying to get through to our busy front desks to book or change appointments or speak to one of our receptionists, but rest assured, we are doing our upmost to provide the service one would expect from our NHS.

In order to our teams to help and assist you more efficiently, please where possible go to our website ringmeadmedicalpractice.org.uk and complete an e-consult or register for online access also on our website for details etc.

Please can we ask you not to email us to book an appointment. We are unable to accommodate such requests.

Helping you to assist us will enable our front-line staff the time to be more effective in understanding the needs of our patients and our staff.

Out of crisis comes hope; people and communities coming together and looking out for one another.

Whereas we cannot forecast how the future will look, what we can do is continue to provide you with the help and assurance that we will continue to support each and every one of you and your healthcare needs.

Thank you.

From all staff at Ringmead Medical Practice
