Practice Nurse Vacancy

To be responsible for the delivery of practice nursing services, working as part of the practice multidisciplinary team, delivering care within their scope of practice to the entitled patient population.

The practice nurse will be responsible for a number of clinical areas such as infection prevention and control, health promotion, chronic disease management, health prevention, well women and well man clinics, as well as supporting the management team in the reviewing of clinical policy and procedure.

Patient Services Manager

We are seeking a self-motivated, enthusiastic, flexible and proactive individual to join our busy and supportive practice in Berkshire to manage our Patient Services Team.  

You will be responsible for the Patient Services (Reception) Team who work across the three sites in Bracknell and Crowthorne. You will act as a role model to the team; supporting, motivating and promoting good staff relations.  

So if you are forward-thinking, highly organised and capable, with previous management experience and have strong IT skills (MS office/learning new systems etc) you could be just the person we are looking for.  

Strong customer service skills are also required with the ability to adapt these to a busy NHS setting. Previous experience of working in General Practice would be an advantage. 

The hours of work would be 37.5 over five days. We are open 0800 - 1830 Monday to Friday and hours may vary in accordance with the needs of the practice. 

These are challenging times and you will be a key member of the Senior Management Team supporting the Practice Manager and Partners as we steer the practice through the next steps in primary care, whilst keeping our staff and patients safe

Patient Services Advisors

We are looking for full & part time Patient Services Advisors (previously known as GP receptionists) to join our expanding team within our busy & friendly three site medical practice in Bracknell & Crowthorne. 

The purpose of the role is to: 
  • Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way 
  • Offer general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone 
  • Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practice  
  • Facilitate effective communication between patients, members of the primary health care team, secondary care and other associated healthcare agencies 
  • Maintain accurate information on the practice computerised clinical system including appointment availability and patient demographics 
Shifts would be Monday to Friday. Part time hours would be a combination of 8-2pm, 12.30-6.30pm. (30 hours per week). Full time hours would be a combination of 10.30-6.30pm, 8-4pm (37.5 hours per week). 

Candidates would need to drive as we require all staff to work across our three surgeries within Ringmead Medical Practice in Bracknell & Crowthorne. 

Candidates will need to:- 
  • have good IT skills 
  • be hardworking and flexible 
  • enjoy working in a team 
  • have a good telephone manner 
  • have at least 2 year's Customer Service Experience 
  • enjoy the challenge of working in the NHS 
  • are not a patient of Ringmead Medical Practice 
This post involves high quality, high output working ensuring that enquiries are dealt with appropriately in accordance with departmental standards. Attention to detail is essential. Training will be provided. 

Please note we also offer extended hours opening a couple of evenings a week until 7.30pm. This shift is covered on a rotation basis.(This service is currently suspended due to COVID-19).
