Medical Appointments Update
Everyone leads busy lives and we at the Ringmead Medical Practice understand that it can sometimes be difficult to make an appointment to see us. Here are the ways to make appointments.
Electronic Consultations (eConsult)
The most convenient way to make a non-urgent request or start a query with the practice is via the Electronic Consultation (eConsult) service available to all patients who are registered with us.
The advantage is that this query can be submitted at any time via an interactive online form and does not involve any waiting. This will then be dealt with by the practice and, if requested and appropriate, a telephone call will be booked with a doctor.
Our clinicians can prescribe and advise over the phone. If they feel you need to be seen, they will ask you to come to the surgery to see them.
You can book an appointment up to two weeks in advance. For example, if you know you are due a Medication Review there is no need to leave it until your prescription is due – Book in advance.
On the Day Appointments
The doctor will call you back and decide if you need to be seen the same day. In most cases, they will agree a time with you there and then.
Please remember to leave your mobile phone on if you are expecting a call back from the doctor. A missed call to you is a missed contact with another patient.
We are unable to give you a timed slot for your phone call due to situations that may arise within the surgery. If you book a telephone call and have not heard from us by 5pm, then please call the surgery as sometimes mistakes do happen and a call was not connected. Please note, if you miss your phone call we are unable to guarantee a call back on the same day.
